Scottish green technology companies are being offered a helping hand in getting their products to market, as part of a new scheme being launched in Edinburgh today.
The EU Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) tool aims to help SMEs speed up the process of achieving product verification for their green technologies, such as solar and wind power and energy efficient lighting.
It also aims to support companies in securing the funding and tools needed to take their product to market.
Scottish Enterprise senior manager Jan Reid said: “We know there is significant potential for Scottish companies in the development of low carbon and environmental technologies.
However, new innovations and the ability to take these to market quickly will be key to taking full advantage of these opportunities.”
The tool is being launched at a workshop organised by the NPL Centre for Carbon Measurement. It is backed by the EC and supported by Scottish Enterprise, Sepa and HIE.
