Aberdeen-based AISUS has spent more than £100,000 on the development of inspection technology capable of lowering costs.
The firm’s newly launched ultrasonic scanning tool, Sirius-X, is designed for corrosion mapping within offshore caissons, risers and conductors.
SIRIUS-X, which has undergone field trials, is controlled from the topside, allowing inspection data to be captured from caissons without removing the large watertight chambers, thus saving time and money.
