FALCK Nutec said yesterday it was seeing growing demand for its courses as the energy industry continued to rise to the challenge of installation-emergency training.
The offshore safety training firm added the 2010 Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and last year’s Shell oil spill in the North Sea had focused minds on the potential risks of a high-scale emergency. It said turnover from its installation management emergency courses in the UK last year was up by four times on 2010, at £500,000.
