AGR’s Aberdeen office has appointed a new regional consultancy manager to oversee and grow the division.
Donna Taylor, who has been with the recruitment arm of the oil and gas services and technology company since 2008, has been promoted to head up the consultancy team. She will be responsible for the management and development of the seven-member team.
Donna began her time at AGR as a consultancy adviser before being promoted to senior consultancy adviser.
AGR’s executive vice-president for UK, West Africa and Asia Pacific Ian Burdis said: “Donna continues to be a valued member of the consultancy team and thoroughly deserves this promotion, having consistently proved herself over the last four years. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Donna, supporting her development at this exciting time.”
A Robert Gordon University graduate, Donna began her recruitment career covering the finance field with an Aberdeen-based firm. Keen to develop a long-term career within the technical recruitment arena, AGR presented great career and progression opportunities.
Donna added: “Joining such a well-established company with global coverage has been a fantastic springboard into technical recruitment. We are specialist recruiters but operate in such diverse environments – from deepwater drilling to jungle – that no two days are the same.
“I’m undoubtedly at a very exciting stage in my career and look forward to the challenge and my continued development with AGR. The team has had a very successful first half of the year and I look forward to encouraging their efforts going forward.”
The consultancy team has been further strengthened with the recent appointment of Alana Wilson as consultancy adviser. She will be responsible for the recruitment of all subsurface disciplines and recently attended the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) conference in London, providing her with vital insight into future plans for redevelopment in the North Sea.
