Fast-growing Scottish software consultant Absoft is expanding its leadership team.
Scott Simpson, 35, Debbie Mackenzie, 45, and Stan Cawsey, 47, all become business-unit directors after internal promotions.
Mr Simpson now heads the oil and gas unit, Mrs Mackenzie becomes director of Absoft’s public-sector arm and Mr Cawsey leads the manufacturing team.
Managing director Ian Mechie said the appointments were a key element of the Aberdeen company’s growth plan, following significant success in the past three years during which it has grown from 68 to 126 employees.
Founded in 1991, Absoft saw pre-tax profits soar 168% to £738,177 in 2011, on revenue up 36% at £8.35million, after which it expanded into Norway with the opening of an office in Stavanger aimed at the energy sector.
The acquisition last year of Hexarus Consulting, a Warrington firm providing performance-management and business-intelligence solutions, meant further expansion for the Aberdeen business.
Mr Mechie said: “Passing the baton to these three highly capable colleagues allows operations director Don Valentine and I to focus on leading Absoft, with the support of our chairman, Peter Drury, while ensuring our operational interests are in safe hands.”
