Water technology firm Nautronix has launched a £180,000 partnership with the University of Aberdeen to develop their acoustic products.
The Aberdeen-based company will work with the university over the next two years in a knowledge transfer partnership as they look to develop their underwater acoustics systems for the oil and gas industry.
This partnership has received financial support from the Government-backed knowledge transfer partnership programme, which aims to help businesses improve their competitiveness and productivity.
“We are extremely pleased to be undertaking this KTP with the University of Aberdeen,” said the company’s director of technology, Lindsay MacDonald
“It not only gives Nautronix access to highly respected technology expertise, but also demonstrates just how industry and academia can work closely together to provide further innovative developments in the subsea arena within the oil and gas sector.”
