Aberdeen wireline and well-intervention technology specialist Wireline Engineering said yesterday it had secured work worth more than £700,000 in Asia after investing in an office and supply base in Malaysia.
Managing director Bill Petrie said the new base in Kuala Lumpur was key to the long-term development and growth of the firm’s activities in the area.
He added: “Many of Wireline Engineering’s Malaysian customers have their head offices nearby but Kuala Lumpur also offers the ideal location from which to develop the rest of the region.”
Wireline Engineering, founded in 1998, employs 40 people at offices in Aberdeen, the Americas, Middle East and Malaysia.
