The new UK managing director of Opito has vowed to continue his predecessor’s mission to get more women into the energy sector.
In his first interview since being appointed, John McDonald told Energy Voice he wants to “continue to build on the success of women in the industry.”
“We have to make sure there are different pathways for women into the industry and if there are cultural issues then we have to make sure that we either erase those or make our way around those,” McDonald said.
“This is something the industry wants and there is certainly many opportunities for women in the industry.”
