The National Hyperbaric Centre is to expand into the Far East after opening an office in Singapore to provide subsea training in the country.
The Aberdeen-based centre will provide training and technical support for diving and ROV operators, along with coaching for specialist projects in the region.
The move follows increased demand for the centre’s services at events across the Asia Pacific region.
“The new centre will reinforce NHC’s commitment to provide world class subsea training and services which will help to improve safety in the Diving Industry,” said associate director Sandy Harper.
“Our commitment to Singapore has strategic significance, allowing us to deliver our services in a region that has recently lacked choice.”
The new facility, in Loyang, will open with client representative and dive system auditing courses, with a new ROV auditing course to be launched later this month.
