Det Norske gets PSA approval for Transocean drilling facility

McDermott said its joint venture project in Ghana has received regulatory approval. The company is working on the McDermott Marine Construction Ghana Limited venture to pursue key offshore opportunities in Ghana. The announcement was made by officials from the joint venture during Africa Oil Week in Cape Town.
Atlantis Resources said €17million of funding has been transferred from the Kyle Rhea project to the world’s largest planned tidal stream energy project MeyGen. The transaction was approved by the European Commission’s Climate Change Committee for MeyGen Phase 1B. The move is planned to help accelerate the development of the project with this second phase targeted to reach financial close and commence construction during 2016.
Clontarf Energy has agreed with the Ghanaian authorities to reapply for an exploration licence in the Tano Basin. The company will make the application through its subsidiary,Pan Andean Resources, for the asset offshore Ghana.
