Fugro has won a five year contract with Total for provision of underwater services in the UK. The deal includes extension options for a further two years and will see Fugro provide a range of ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) services.

Fugro and Diavaz win $13million Pemex contract extension
Fugro has been awarded an extension on the ongoing offshore geophysical and geotechnical campaign being led by Pemex in a deal worth $13million. The company is working in conjunction with Diavaz on the project which will support exploration drilling activities in the Bay of Campeche and deepwater locations in the Perdido area.

Fugro creates bespoke system to help protect against Arctic weather
Fugro has delivered a bespoke structural monitoring system for Exxon Neftegas to help monitor the structural integrity of its Berkut oil platform. The site, in the Arkutun Dagi field, is one of the world’s largest floatover platforms and has been designed so that topsides are isolated from the base using FPB (friction pendulum bearings). Fugro was commissioned to provide an integrated system which would be able to both monitor the seismic response of the platform and the performance of FPB’s.
Fugro sets up base in Ghana
Fugro has continued its expansion into Africa with the establishment of a new base in Ghana. The company has set up a base in Accra, which will provide it with support as it extends its business into the oil and gas market in West Africa. Fugro has also established a partnership with Lima Oil Services in the region.
Dutch-firm awarded contract by BP
Dutch-firm Fugro GEOS has been awarded a contract by oil giant BP for the provision of wellhead and riser monitoring services. The contact will support BP drilling activities for the Quad 204 redevelopment of the Schiehallion field west of Shetland.
