Semi-submersible provider Prosafe has signed a $24million contract with Shell for its Regalia accommodation vessel at the Brent C platform in the UK sector of the North Sea.
Semi-submersible provider Prosafe has signed a contract with Petrobras for the provision of the new Safe Eurus accommodation vessel for safety and maintenance support offshore Brazil.
Prosafe said it was making a $7million provision after lifeboats were damaged on one of its rigs last year.
The company said the damage had been caused to the Safe Bristolia during bad weather in the Everest Field in the UK last year.
At the time operations were suspended and the vessel was brough to the Hanoytangen shipyard in Norway for repair work.
Prosafe said a lower demand for accommodation vessels in the North Sea region has seen a number of projects postponed or made smaller.
The company posted its third quarter results with an operating profit of $93million.
