Primary school children from Caithness and North Sutherland experienced real life in the marine energy industry when they got to meet the head of a tidal energy developer.
Scotland's marine energy industry was today the focus of the Government's Energy and Climate Change Select Committee (ECCC) investigation into wave and tidal renewables, as it visited the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney.
US renewable-energy company Ocean Power Technologies (OPT) said today it believed capacity on one of its wave energy devices being tested off Scotland was better than most other renewable energy sources.
