Oil boss Malcolm Webb proudly accepted an honorary degree from the Robert Gordon University at yesterday’s graduation ceremony.
Mr Webb, chief executive of Oil and Gas UK, was presented with the honorary degree of doctor of business administration. The graduate of Liverpool University, who is a lawyer by profession, has extensive senior management experience in both the upstream and downstream oil industry.
He joined Oil and Gas UK after three years as the director general of the UK Petroleum Industry Association.
Mr Webb has a long association with Aberdeen Business School. He delivers master classes to MBA students, as well as supporting research projects.
He said: “I really am highly honoured and humbled that this recognition came from Robert Gordon University.”
