Aberdeen-based flange management developers Equalizer have opened their first overseas office as they look to continue their international expansion.
The firm has launched a new sales and management team based across both Scotland and the new office in Houston to drive overseas sales.
Colin Gough will head up the new team from Aberdeen after being promoted to global sales and marketing manager, while Hector Santos has been appointed the as the company’s first sales and marketing manager for the US.
Rob Bell has joined as sales engineer to develop the company’s UK and Norwegian interests, with chartered mechanical engineer Thomas Rhodes arriving as techinical support manager.
The new centre in Houston comes 19 years after the company was founded in Scotland.
“Equalizer, despite the continuing economic challenges, has experienced ongoing growth during the past 12 months as knowledge of our products becomes more widespread in what is a very niche and specialised market,” said managing director Ian McCormick.
