Hundreds of energy industry leaders will gather in one of Europe’s most historic cities later this month, as GE Oil & Gas gears up for its 18th Annual Meeting in Florence, Italy.
Each year, the event attracts more than 800 industry leaders to the two-day event for discussions on key issues facing the global energy sector.
As in previous years, this year’s program is composed of a plenary session which sets the tone and provides insights from globally-esteemed opinion leaders and industry experts on the changing landscape of the oil and gas industry. The program includes a series of in-depth ‘Tech Sessions’ focused on key technology developments, the pursuit of operational excellence and the digital evolution of the industry
This year’s event will include a focus on driving growth during the current, challenging industry cycle – from drilling onshore and offshore, through processing and distribution, and where infrastructure is at times an issue.
Speakers due to participate include Arnaud Breuillac, President of Exploration & Production for Total; Premier Oil CEO, Tony Durrant; Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, President & Group Chief Executive Officer for Petronas, and Chief Operations Officer for RasGas, Fahad Al-Khater.
A spokesman for the Annual Meeting said: “We are working on an interactive agenda that reflects the challenges facing the industry, and proposing a range of approaches to meet those needs and drive successful partnerships with global operators and industry players.
“The tone is set with leading key note speakers and panel discussions exchanging views on the future of oil and gas, interspersed with more in-depth sessions focused on oil and gas technology developments, operational excellence and productivity improvements. We’re also fortunate to be joined by globally-recognized thought leaders and industry experts.”
The event will be held from January 30-31 at the Florence Opera House.
