This dramatic footage shows just how terrifying life in the North Sea can be.
The footage was captured from the bridge of an ERRV (Emergency Response & Rescue Vessel), around 100 miles north-east of Shetland on January 29.
Some of the waves are estimated to be around 100-foot high – crashing against the vessel, rocking it from side to side and soaking the entire deck.
