Pupils from a pair of Aberdeen schools have visited Centrica’s headquarters to find out more about a career in the oil and gas industry.
The schoolgirls met with female engineers from the company to hear what attracted them to the industry, as well as taking part in interactive activities to find out more about life in oil and gas.
The visit was part of efforts to inspire more young women to consider a science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) career.
Energy Voice spoke to some of the pupils about their aspirations as well as Carla Riddell, co-chairwoman of the Energy Network and an asset manager for Centrica.
