Footage has emerged of Tropical Storm Cindy battering an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
The storm disrupted oil production and shipping – with many workers forced onshore.
With winds hitting up to 50 miles per hour, one sixth of the oil production in the Gulf of Mexico was shut down by the storm.
The video posted by Facebook user Colbey Greer shows the rig being battered by waves in extremely choppy water.
A fierce wind can also be heard as the waves hit the rig.
