Energy logistics firm Peterson has shot video footage of the arrival of a giant marine fuel tank at its Aberdeen harbour base.
The vessel, a £3 million investment, has a capacity of 4,000 cubic metres – the equivalent of nearly two Olympic sized swimming pools.
Built in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, it is based at the firm’s Torry Marine Base and gives ship operators easier access to fuel.
The tank’s installation, in addition to another recently put in place on the south side of North Harbour, doubles Peterson’s marine gasoil capacity.
